NJ STARS UNIFORM POLICY
08/09 Season
The following uniform policy must be adhered to:
OFF-ICE ATTIRE
Proper preparation for a game begins long before leaving for the rink, and dressing properly for a hockey game is a part of that preparation. Players should also remember that they are representing their organization and must always put their best foot forward.
Stars players are expected to dress appropriately for all home and away games. Proper attire includes:
- A Stars warm-up suit (pants and jacket), OR
- Khakis and a collared shirt (tucked in at all times) with casual or dress shoes (sneakers are acceptable as long as they are relatively clean and the laces are tied)
Examples of unacceptable attire include:
- Jeans
- Sagging or low-hanging pants
- T-shirts
- Old worn-out shoes or shoes with untied laces
ON-ICE ATTIRE
Practice Uniform will consist of a Stars issued practice jersey and scrimmage vest (if required by coach), black helmet, black pants, black gloves and black socks. With the exception of manufacturer labeling, only Stars logo stickers are permitted on player helmets.
*Note: Players will not be required to replace equipment that does not exactly fit the uniform policy. This policy is meant as a guide for use when purchasing new equipment.
Game Uniform will consist of Stars issued home/away game jerseys, black helmet, black pants, black gloves and home/away game socks.
Safety Equipment must be worn during all practices and games, i.e., helmet with properly fastened chinstrap, mouth guard, chest protector, elbow pads, shin guards and protective cup.
*The Home/Away Game Jerseys and Warm-Ups can be purchased during a scheduled Stars jersey and apparel fitting session.
*Stars Practice Jerseys are issued to each player at the start of the season at no cost.
*Scrimmage Vests will be provided by the Stars program at coaches’ request.
